Car rental agency website upgrade

ISYACAR

A rebuilt and improved version of my friend's Marrakech car rental agency website: nine languages, a fleet from economy to luxury, and direct booking via WhatsApp.

About this project

ISYACAR is a complete rebuild and upgrade of the website of my friend's car rental agency in Marrakech (the agency: isyacar.com). I preserved the agency's identity — its fleet, addresses and phone numbers — and rebuilt the experience around it: a classified fleet from economy cars (from 300 MAD/day) to SUVs and luxury vehicles, nine languages for the international customer, free delivery to Marrakech airport and hotels within 15 minutes, 24/7 assistance, free cancellation up to 48 hours, and practical guides on insurance and roads — with direct booking via WhatsApp, no forms.

Added value

ISYACAR turns the agency's website visitors into customers who book with confidence:

Nine languages for a global customer

Marrakech's customer comes from everywhere — the site speaks their language: French, English, Arabic, Russian, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, German and Japanese.

Frictionless booking

The price is clear from 300 MAD/day and booking takes one tap on WhatsApp — no long forms that push the customer away.

Delivery to airport and hotel

The car reaches Marrakech airport or the hotel within 15 minutes, free, with around-the-clock assistance — the service customers tell their friends about.

Content that builds trust

Practical guides on insurance, roads and trip costs answer the customer's questions before they ask them — content marketing instead of promises.

The effort behind the build

Upgrading an existing website for a real agency is different from building from scratch: I preserved the agency's and my friend's identity (fleet, addresses, phone) and rebuilt the experience around it — pages for each car category, a nine-language engine, advisory content on insurance and roads, and a chat that answers around the clock. The business goal is visible on every screen: a visitor who understands, trusts, then books.

Tools & skills — explained simply

Every tool, library and skill I used in this project, explained in plain language: what it is and what it specifically added — no cryptic symbols.

HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript

A custom build from scratch in the basic web language: fast, light interfaces designed for a customer browsing from their phone at an airport or hotel.

Nine-language engine

A translation system that speaks to the customer in their language — French, English, Arabic, Russian, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, German and Japanese — because Marrakech's customer comes from all over the world.

Multilingual SEO (hreflang)

Tags that tell Google which language version is which, so each version ranks in its own country: the Russian customer finds the Russian version, the Japanese customer the Japanese one — the foundation of organic marketing for a tourism business.

WhatsApp booking

The customer books in one tap from the app they already use — no forms, no new accounts; the shortest path from wanting to booking.

Automated chat

It answers the common questions — documents, prices, insurance — around the clock and passes special cases to the team; a receptionist that never sleeps.

Multi-alphabet fonts

A modern Latin font, an Arabic font and a Japanese font: every language appears in its own authenticity rather than as a cosmetic translation — a detail that earns the customer's respect.

Advisory content

Practical guides on insurance, roads and trip costs answer the customer's questions before they ask them — content marketing that builds trust instead of making promises.

Cloudflare Pages

Free global hosting with fast opening from every country and an automatic SSL security certificate — always available when the customer decides to book.

Estimated cost

Building a similar project

Self-built path (what I actually did)0 MAD — the rebuild and upgrade were done on an entirely free stack, as a service to a friend.
Via a freelancer/agency in Morocco (estimate)Approximately 10,000 – 35,000 MAD for a multilingual rental agency website at this level.

Running & maintenance

Current setup0 MAD per month on the free tier.
When scaling up (estimate)The agency's own domain (about 100 – 150 MAD per year) plus advanced tracking and booking tools as orders grow.

Indicative estimates in Moroccan dirham (MAD); actual costs vary with scope, exact requirements and the services market. My current projects are built and running entirely on free tiers.

What I learned from it

The first project I built for a real client — and a friend — which raised the bar of responsibility: I learned that development is a service measured by its business result (how many visitors actually booked), not by the number of technologies; that features like WhatsApp booking and clear pricing come from understanding the real car rental customer; and that a friend's trust is worth more than any technical showing off.
